How It All Started
In the late winter of 2020, as corporate haulers struggled to keep up, we saw a need — and stepped in. What began as a grassroots effort to help our community quickly grew into a full-time operation. We served entire neighborhoods when no one else could, offering affordable, dependable trash collection that people could count on.

*IMPORTANT*
When your collection day falls on a holiday week all routes from the holiday forward will be delayed by one day.
At this time, we are no longer offering recycling services due to low demand.
We know recycling matters, and we’re actively exploring ways to expand these services in the future.
Thank you for your understanding as we work to make recycling more accessible for our community.
Flash Trash collects once per week. Our plan options are as follows:
1 CONTAINER PLAN: 1- 96-Gallon container. We will accept broken down cardboard outside the container, OR 1 small household item, OR 1 extra bag of trash.
2 CONTAINER PLAN: Up 2 - 96-gallon trash cans or their equivalent, which equates to approximately 200 gallons of household trash. We will accept broken down cardboard outside the container, OR 1 small household item OR, 1 extra bag of trash.
We promise a trash collection day and no a trash appointment or collection window. If your trash is not collected by 7pm, and it was at the curb by 5am, please register a missed collection through your account platform and we will get someone back out to you to re-collect.
Please break down all cardboard and bag your trash in appropriate trash bags.
These precautions are in place to prioritize the safety of our Flash Trash teams, especially given the increased prevalence of illnesses. By bagging your trash, we minimize potential contact with your garbage, promoting a safer environment for everyone.
Should you require more than the allowed limit of two 96-gallon containers, we encourage you to give us a call. Our team will be happy to provide you with a custom quote tailored to your specific needs.

Trash must be out the night before your collection day.
Our trucks run different routes each day, and collection times can vary between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM due to traffic, weather, landfill delays, new team members, or route changes.
To avoid being missed, have your trash at the curb by 5:30 AM — or better yet, the night before.
We cannot return for missed pickups. Thanks for helping us keep routes efficient and on schedule!
Absolutely! At Flash Trash, we offer hassle-free bulk pick-up, junk removal, and full house cleanout services.
Whether you're getting rid of a few large items or clearing out an entire property, we've got you covered.
To schedule a bulk pick-up, simply fill out our online request form. This helps us coordinate the right crew and equipment for the job.
🚫 Please note: Bulk pick-ups are scheduled separately and are not included in your regular weekly service—unless the items are small enough to be loaded onto the standard garbage truck.
We make it easy to clean up—just let us know what you need!
At Flash Trash, we move fast — because trash waits for no one!
The moment you subscribe, you’re automatically assigned to the next available route in your neighborhood. In most cases, your first pick-up happens within a week or less.
Behind the scenes, our system quickly gets everything in place:

We know how important timely waste collection is, and we’re committed to getting you up and rolling as fast as lightning.
Due to repeated misuse, yard waste is no longer included in our regular service.
As a courtesy, we may pick up 1–2 bags of yard waste during your scheduled pickup if truck space allows — but this is not guaranteed.
In select HOAs, yard waste pickup is available by request or may be included as part of an HOA plan.
If you're a current customer and need a one-time yard waste collection, give us a call! We’re happy to schedule a pickup for you.

Below are answers to the most common questions from residents in your area:
🚪 Valet & Side-Door Service
We continue to offer Side-Door and Valet collection services for customers who have added them to their plan.
Please note: These are premium services and include an additional charge.
What's the difference?
Side-Door Service
We collect your trash from your garage’s side door and place the cans at the end of your driveway for pickup. You’ll bring them back in after service.
Valet Service (exclusive to Sugarmill Woods)
We collect your cans from the side door and return them to the side door after service—no need to bring them out or back in.
🗑️ In-Ground Bins
While we recommend using containers with wheels and handles, we do collect from in-ground bins under the following conditions:
• Trash must be bagged
• Bags must be a reasonable weight
• Un-tied, Unbagged or overweight bags will not be collected.
These guidelines are in place to protect the safety of our crew.

For small communities and HOAs, we offer a unique cost-saving opportunity through our Hello Neighbor program.
When multiple households within a street or small cluster (about 1/8 mile) sign up together, they unlock tiered group pricing — meaning the more neighbors who join, the more everyone saves.
💛 Flash Cares Program
Our Flash Cares initiative supports residents who may need a little extra help with their garbage bill. If you're experiencing hardship, reach out — we’re here for you.
🎖️ Veterans & Pastors Discounts
We proudly offer special discounts to veterans and church pastors as a thank-you for your service and commitment to the community.

💸 Flash Trash Referral Program
We love neighbors who spread the word! When you refer a new customer on your same street who signs up for quarterly service, you’ll receive one month of service FREE (up to $25) as a thank-you.
Here’s how it works:
✅ The referred customer must live within sight distance of your home or within 1/8 mile
✅ Your own account must be in good standing
✅ The free month is applied to your next quarterly bill (not issued as a refund or cash)

🕊️ Seasonal Resident? No Problem!
At Flash Trash, we know many Citrus County residents spend part of the year elsewhere — and we’re happy to accommodate our Snowbirds with a simple pause option.
If you need to temporarily suspend service for up to 6 months, just log into your Flash Trash account in StopSuite and send us a message.
Easy peasy.
Any remaining credit on your account will be saved and ready for you when you return — no reactivation fees, no hassle.

We offer several convenient ways to pay, and we strongly recommend enrolling in autopay for stress-free service.

Log into your account anytime by clicking the Customer Login button on our website. You can view your balance, make payments, and manage your subscription.
🔁 AUTOPAY
Never miss a payment!
You can set up autopay through your online account, or give us a call and we’ll get it set up for you.

Currently, Flash Trash does not provide dumpsters or rolloff containers as part of our service offerings.
Canceling Your Flash Trash Service: What to Know & What to Do
We understand that plans change. Here’s exactly how cancellation works and what to expect.
1. How Our Subscriptions Work
Flash Trash operates on a subscription basis:
• Monthly
• Quarterly
• Semi-Annual
• Annual
Important to know:
• Subscriptions renew automatically.
• Once a billing period begins, it is non-refundable.
• If you cancel, your service continues through the end of your paid term.
• No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
You agreed to these terms in the service agreement emailed to you when you signed up.
2. When to Submit Your Cancellation
To avoid being charged for the next billing period:
Submit your request at least 7 days before your renewal date.
Late requests may result in another billing cycle.
3. How to Cancel (Step-by-Step)
Please use one of the following methods:
Option 1: Online (Preferred)
1. Log into your Flash Trash account.
2. Send a message through your account portal.
3. Your request will be reviewed and processed within 3 business days.

Important!
We cannot accept cancellation requests by:
• Text message
• Social media

These requests will not be processed.
4. Moving? Here’s What to Do
If you are moving:
• Submit your cancellation through your account or by phone.
• Provide your forwarding address.
• Any eligible refund will be returned to your original payment method or mailed by check.

5. Snowbird & Seasonal Customers
If you are a seasonal resident:
• You may pause your service.
• Any unused funds remain on your account.
• Service can be resumed when you return.
Please contact us through your account to arrange this.
6. Container Return & Possible Fees
All Flash Trash containers belong to us and must be returned when service ends.
Standard Pick Up Fee
If you cancel within 24 months of the start of service:
• $65 container pickup fee applies
🚀Avoid the Pickup Fee
You may return your clean container to:

Lost or Inaccessible Containers
• If we cannot access or locate your container: $95 replacement fee
• Non-payment cancellations still require the $65 pickup fee
Before Pickup or Return
To avoid extra charges, please make sure your container is:
Completely empty
Placed curbside or easily accessible
7. Refund Policy
• Unused prepaid time is not refundable.
• No partial refunds once a billing cycle starts.
• Move-related refunds (if eligible) are issued by:
• Original payment method, or
• Check mailed to forwarding address

The State of Florida (https://floridadep.gov/waste/hazardous-waste-permitting/content/household-hazardous-waste)defines household hazardous waste (HHW) as something that is ignitable (flammable), corrosive, reactive or toxic.
Some examples of HHW are:
• Car batteries
• Computer Batteries
• Fluorescent bulbs
• Gasoline
• Household cleaners
• Motor oils
• Paint
• Pesticides
• Pool chemicals
• Propane tanks
• And some other items
The characteristic these items all have is that they are dangerous to people if they are exposed to them. According to the DEP, these materials can contaminate our drinking water and have long term health effects. For this reason, every county in Florida, including Citrus County, has a household hazardous waste program. If these items are placed out with your household collection we will leave them curbside.
